With Energy Intelligence, we offer smart solutions for sustainable energy management. Energy Intelligence provides you with online access to all data via our portal. From there, you will receive customized reports and an up-to-date overview of consumption, production, and returns. You can also opt to receive alerts. Insight and monitoring
CEI
COMCAM Energy Intelligence (CEI) is a clear and user-friendly tool for insight and monitoring of your energy consumption, profile and peak load. These insights help you save energy, especially when you detect anomalies in consumption, and become more sustainable. CEI also helps you comply with laws and regulations that may apply to your business or office (the Energy Conservation Obligation).
Hospitality businesses, retail business owners, and owners of office buildings and warehouses must be able to provide insight into their consumption (information obligation). They must also take energy-saving measures that can be recovered within five years. With the energy management portal CEI, you always have insight into your total energy consumption, and avoid a possible fine in case of an inspection by the environmental department.

What CEI offers
CEI offers a portal for professionals who want insight into their consumption, clear information about your energy connections and insight into your energy profile and peak consumption per site, per day, hour or quarter-hour. You receive your data in clear reports, benchmarks, graphs and tables, allowing you to quickly identify deviations in consumption. The portal provides insight into energy-saving measures you need to implement to comply with the Information Obligation and helps you monitor implemented energy-saving measures. Finally, you receive management reports that allow you to justify your policy in the event of verification of the Obligation to Provide Information.
Smart switching at negative hours
Control Box
When there is an oversupply of power, the market power price becomes negative. This oversupply occurs because entrepreneurs generate wind and solar power. If you supply power back to the grid, you have to pay for the power you produce when there is an oversupply. Of course, you want to avoid that as much as possible. COMCAM has a solution: the control box.
Feed-in prices rise
In the coming years, negative feed-in electricity prices will become more common. The cause: more and more companies are opting for renewable electricity; the number of solar and wind installations is growing. Already now the generation of renewable energy regularly exceeds demand during the day, with insufficient opportunity to export the power surplus to neighboring countries. The growth of solar and wind energy installations continues – the latter especially at sea. Compared to 2023, negative hours will triple by 2026. Negative prices will continue to cause volatility on the power exchange in the coming years, both on the day-ahead, intraday and imbalance markets.
Control box for optimal energy management
COMCAM protects you from negative power prices with a control box and an online customer portal. This smart solution reacts to negative price moments by switching back the energy output of your solar or wind installation as much as possible. This prevents you from having to pay for feed-in. This solution was developed for a generating plant on a large consumption connection and acts on the basis of the price forecast on the imbalance market or day-ahead (EPEX).

Optimizing power generation contributes to sustainability and stability of the electricity grid – even during the major rebuilding that grid operators will undertake in the coming years.
How does the power box work?
You receive a control box from us, which is connected to your generation system. Our IoT portal sends a signal to the control box every 15 minutes based on the imbalance price forecast. The control box responds to the signal and causes your generation plant to switch up or down. If the price on the imbalance market is unfavorable, energy generation is switched back to 0%. If the price is favorable, generation is restarted and switched up to maximum power. In this way, your solar or wind system delivers optimum efficiency. Thanks to online access via our customer portal, you can track exactly how many hours your installation has been switched back. And you can download data using the reporting module if you wish.
Control box connection
The control box is connected to the inverter(s). This can be installed by a licensed installer.
Conditions for using the COMCAM control box
Customized flexible energy solutions
The COMCAM control box is also suitable for other solutions where flexible power is required.
- Installations such as refrigeration or an energy storage battery can be switched on during negative hours to take full advantage of the favorable energy price.
- Power generation can also be flexibly switched up or down in response to supply and demand in the imbalance market.
